11/04/2010 Water
surfaces temperature is in the mid to low 70's. the
lake is cleared up from turned over and a
little off color caused by rain.
Catch Large Mouth Bass close to bank at daylight and
at dusk use spinner bait, crank baits. also shaded
docks in the heat of the day use pig& jig, and
plastic worms.
Chanel Catfish in main lake use punch bait
near brush on baited holes 17 to 25 ft water, as
temp lowers start looking for Chanel Cats around 9
ft,
the Grass Carp
interfering with baited holes
problem has lessened as temp lower.
Blue Catfish are doing well on jug lines in
main lake at 9 to 20 feet of water on creek channels
and points use cut bait and brim or shad for bait.
drift fishing in the same area are doing well ( Blue
Cats as big as 44 pounds have been caught when
drifting)
Flathead Cats are moving into marina areas as
brim population increases, use heavy tackle and live
brim for bait, most Flatheads feed at night.
Large Brim
7 to 25 ft water in marinas, along brush piles
and stump lines.
use glow worms, mill worms and crickets. Go a
little deeper as water cools
Crappie are starting their Fall patterns
you will start to see them in greater numbers at
bridge pylons and brush piles along
creek channels,
continue using minnows and jigs .
Its
time to put out new brush piles or freshen old ones,

Hybrids and White Bass are slow but should
improve as the water temperature cools
down. still no signs of yet, watch for seagulls as
they show up they will work the water, there
activity is sign of fish
.
Winter fishing is excellent on Lake Conroe,
larger fish less boat traffic. Always dress
for the whether, it is cooler on the water.
