Water surfaces temperature is in the mid 40's. The White Bass and Crappie are moving up to Stubblefield area. February and March start the spawning season for White Bass, Large Mouth Bass, and Crappie, great for catching your limits Watch for birds working the water, you can catch Hybrids and White Bass underneath them.
Catch Large Mouth Bass still in deep water and on ledges, its best to use deep diving crank baits.
Chanel Catfish over baited holes around main lake hump near brush and main lake points. Stay with cheese baits, Premo Blood or Stick’it. Punch bait. Bait up with Milo or range cubes
Blue Catfish good time to catch large sized on jug lines or drift fishing. For night fishing, anchor by ledges using brim or shad for bait.
Crappies are starting to stage in 10 to 15 feet of water close to creeks and rivers. Also caught in brush pile in 18 to 24 foot of water.
Brim are caught under small bridges over creeks leading to and from the main lake.
Winter fishing is excellent on Lake Conroe, larger fish, less boat traffic. Always dress for the whether, it is cooler on the water. Bank fishing will get better as water warms, for now you'll need to take the boat or call a fishing guide.
